TSLE WEDDING – HEATHER AND GIO’S ITALIAN INSPIRED BOTANICAL WINE COUNTRY WEDDING
He comes from Verona, Italy – she is from Northern California and yet the two found and fell for each other in Australia. Both Heather and Gio have a background in sustainable landscape design and choosing to hold their wedding celebration on the lush grounds of Campovida was both an easy and natural decision.
The bride wore a cream-colored gown with beaded accents while the bridesmaids wore soft colored skirts with lace tops and the gentleman wore suspenders and hats. The ceremony took place under the learning arbor, which was shaded by growing grape vines. The groom set a beautiful musical atmosphere as he strummed his ukulele while his bride walked down the aisle. The bride carried loose white and green flowers and wore an equally stunning floral headpiece in her perfectly styled and loosely curled hair.
Guests meandered through the cocktail hour where they sipped on sparking wine and enjoyed a large spread of locally sourced cheeses, fruits, nuts, and honey. They found their assigned seats on prints that had been designed and hand painted by the bride. The reception space was decorated with candles, garlands and a mix of copper, gold and silver metal accents. Guests dined in a family style fashion on stone fruit salad, whole roasted chicken and salmon filets with lemon jam.
After dinner, guests made their way across the lawn to the dance floor which was lit with twinkling bistro lights. They were greeted with small glasses of lemmoncello. The couple danced as the groom’s brother – a professionally trained opera singer sang in Italian. The evening ended on a sweet note as guests snacked on chocolate covered figs and gelato in mini ice cream cones.
