Annadel Estate Winery

SANTA ROSA, Ca | Photography by Courtney Stockton

John and Lloyd’s wedding centered around family, friends, incredible food, expertly paired wine, and their dog Toby. Décor and florals took inspiration from Van Gogh’s extensive paintings of sunflowers and the couple's numerous trips to Italy and South France. Classical music filled the air as the couple wed in the ruins of Annadel Estate against a backdrop of lush greens. After the ceremony, guests relaxed, overlooking the sprawling lawn while sipping crisp champagne, and then dined under an open night sky lit by wrought iron chandeliers decorated with garland and bright orange kumquats. Tables were made of natural wood and were decorated with an assortment of antique brass pieces and wooden boxes with zinnias, dahlias, sunflowers, and dried flowers to add texture. Custom letterpress menus were the first indication of the dining experience guests were to embark on. A five-course dinner with a wine pairing. Following dinner, guests were welcomed into the barn for dancing and dessert by tray passed limoncello in three flavors made by one of the couple’s closest friends. From the youngest guest, Toby, to the oldest, who was 96 and had a smile bigger than any other, it was clear that everyone enjoyed their time celebrating John & Lloyd’s love.
