TSLE WEDDING: LUQI & JUNSI’S TIMELESS CALIFORNIA COAST MICRO-WEDDING WITH LUXE DETAILS
Both the bride and groom are from Shanghai, yet it was in the cafeteria at the University of Nebraska where PhD students Luqi and Junsi first started their relationship in 2014. With a mutual love for beautiful landscapes and travel, they chose the picturesque bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean at the Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay for their originally planned May 2020 wedding. Despite Covid-19 they were determined to get married this year and with just 16 guests in attendance they wed in October.
The wedding design started with a custom created crest that was used throughout the wedding from the gold embossed paper products to the hand decorated gold piping on the cake to the acrylic signage that all matched the design in exact detail.
The ceremony took place overlooking the beautiful Pacific Ocean. As both the bride and grooms’ parents live in Shanghai and were unable to attend in person, Junsi, wearing a Vera Wang dress and Louboutin heels started her decent down the aisle alone. It was half way down the aisle where she was met by her groom to continue down the rest of the aisle together.
Cocktail hour took place outside on the terrace with the 8’+ white sign dubbed “the emerald” thanks to its beautiful emerald cut shape. This custom showpiece was made by the Wish Social team. Guests* were treated to a beautiful spread for dinner which included everything from lobster tail to skirt steak and even octopus.
After dinner, guests moved to another room for cake cutting and a video call with the couple’s parents to join in the festivities. There wasn’t any dancing but guests enjoyed music, conversation and an assortment of confections as the night went on.
